Austin Chamber Ensemble Summer 2020 Events

Our 2020-2021 Season will be announced in late August/early September with details that will include safe gathering or other creative ways to bring you our concerts. The Austin Chamber Ensemble was formed in 1981 as a wind quintet and began with a series of six concerts in 1985. Concerts for our upcoming season will feature the wind quintet and a commissioned work for soprano and piano by Ethan Wickman to celebrate our 40th season! Stay tuned! In the meantime, we hope you will join us for the summer events listed below.

Also, please enjoy this video from the photographer/composer John Lampkin! This video features Austin Chamber Ensemble Woodwind Quintet performing “Lonesome Firefly” from his work Insects: a Musical Entomology in Six Legs. This work was co-commissioned by Austin Chamber Ensemble and the recording is from the live performance on the Austin premiere, February 11, 2001.
